Arista explained: one EOS from data centre to campus

Arista's main difference is software. Every Arista switch runs the same operating system, EOS, so the same skills, automation and tools work across the whole network.

Data centre families

  • 7050X: leaf and top of rack switches with 10G, 25G and 100G ports
  • 7060X: high density 100G and 400G spine and leaf switches
  • 7280R: deep buffer switches for spine, edge and routing roles
  • 7800R: modular chassis, such as the 7808, for large spine and core networks

Campus families

  • 710: compact PoE switches for small spaces and desks
  • 720: PoE access switches, including multi gigabit models for Wi-Fi 7
  • 750: modular campus chassis

Software and management

  • EOS: one operating system across every switch, with open APIs for automation
  • CloudVision: central management, telemetry and change control across the network
