Description

The Arista SFP-25G-SR-E is a 25GBASE-SR-Enhanced SFP28 E-Series transceiver built for low-latency 25G links over multimode fibre. It uses an 850nm wavelength with an LC duplex interface and reaches 30m over OM3 or 50m over OM4 without FEC, or 70m over OM3 and 100m over OM4 with FEC enabled.

Running without FEC removes the latency that FEC processing adds on short in-rack and row-scale links, while FEC mode extends reach where cable runs are longer. It suits 25G server access and top-of-rack deployments on standard 50um multimode cabling.
