Description

The Arista QSFP-40G-SRBD is a 40GBASE-BIDI bidirectional QSFP+ transceiver that delivers 40G over a single duplex LC multimode fibre pair. It reaches up to 100m over duplex OM3 and up to 150m over duplex OM4, making it a practical choice for short-reach 40G links inside the data centre or between adjacent racks.

Because it runs 40G over standard duplex multimode fibre using 850nm and 900nm wavelengths, existing duplex LC cabling can be reused instead of installing new parallel fibre. The hot swappable QSFP+ module draws a maximum of 3.5W and allows media and interface choice to be made on a port-by-port basis.
