Description

The QSFP-100G-SWDM4 is a 100GBASE-SWDM4 QSFP28 optical transceiver for 100G Ethernet over duplex multimode fibre. It uses an LC duplex connector and reaches up to 70m on OM3 or 100m on OM4, so existing duplex multimode cabling can be reused for 100G links without moving to parallel MPO fibre.

Shortwave wavelength division multiplexing combines four wavelengths in the 850 nm to 880 nm region onto a single fibre pair. The module follows the 100G SWDM4 Alliance MSA, QSFP28 SFF-8449 and SFF-8636, and IEEE 802.3, with a maximum power draw of 3.5 W for high-density 100G switch ports.
