Description

The Arista SFP-10G-ERBD-D is a 10GBASE-ERBD BiDi SFP+ transceiver for the downlink side of a single-fibre 10 Gigabit Ethernet link, reaching up to 40km over single-mode fibre. It transmits at 1330nm and receives at 1270nm over a single LC connection, so one strand of SMF does the work of a duplex pair.

This is the downlink (-D) module and must be paired with the matching SFP-10G-ERBD-U uplink module at the far end. It uses the hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor and complies with IEEE 802.3 and the SFP+ MSA, making it suited to long-reach campus, metro and building-to-building links where fibre strands are limited.
