Description

The Arista SFP-10G-ERBD-U is a 10GBASE-ERBD bidirectional SFP+ transceiver for the uplink end of a 10GbE single-fibre link. It transmits at 1270nm and receives at 1330nm over a single strand of G.652 single-mode fibre, reaching up to 40km through a duplex-free LC connector, which makes it well suited to long-haul campus, metro and data centre interconnects where fibre strands are scarce.

Because this is the Uplink (-U) unit, it must be paired with the matching downlink SFP-10G-ERBD-D at the far end of the link. The standard SFP+ form factor delivers 0 to 5.0 dBm transmit power, -9 to -21 dBm receive sensitivity and a maximum power draw of 1.5 W. Proper optical attenuation is required on shorter links to protect the receiver.
