Description

The Arista QSFP-100G-SR4 is a 100GBASE-SR4 QSFP28 optical transceiver for short-reach 100 Gigabit Ethernet links over parallel multi-mode fibre. It uses an MPO-12 UPC connector and reaches up to 70m over OM3 or 100m over OM4, making it a practical choice for top-of-rack, leaf-spine and intra-data-centre connections.

Operating at 850 nm over four parallel lanes, it suits high-density 100G switch deployments where multi-mode cabling is already installed. Arista advises that optical attenuation may be needed on very short links to protect the receiver.
