Description

The Arista QSFP-100G-SR4-E is a 100GBASE-SR4-Enhanced QSFP28 E-Series transceiver for low-latency 100G links over parallel multimode fibre. It uses an MPO-12 UPC connector at 850 nm and reaches 30m on OM3 and 50m on OM4 without FEC for minimal latency, or 70m on OM3 and 100m on OM4 when run with FEC.

The enhanced optical performance makes it well suited to latency-sensitive data centre, trading and high-performance computing environments where short-reach parallel multimode links are used. Rated per-lane transmit and receive power budgets support both the without-FEC and with-FEC operating modes, giving flexibility to trade latency against reach.
