Description

The Arista SFP-25G-ER is a 25GBASE-ER SFP28 optical transceiver built for long-reach 25GbE links of up to 40 km over duplex single-mode fibre. It operates at 1310 nm and uses an LC duplex connector, making it suited to campus interconnects, metro links and data centre to data centre connections where 25G speeds are needed over extended distances.

This optic is qualified for use in supported Arista platforms and draws a maximum of 2 W. Proper optical attenuation is required on shorter links to protect the receiver from permanent damage, so it is best matched to genuine long-haul spans.
