Juniper Mist access points and EX switches explained

Juniper's campus range is built around the Mist cloud. Mist access points and EX switches are managed together, with the Marvis AI assistant helping find and fix problems.

Mist access point families

  • AP3x: mid range indoor access points for offices and schools
  • AP4x: high performance indoor access points, including models such as the AP45 (Wi-Fi 6E) and AP47 (Wi-Fi 7)
  • AP6x: outdoor access points for courtyards, campuses and yards

Check each model's Wi-Fi generation, PoE needs and uplink speed, as Wi-Fi 7 models often need PoE++ and multi gigabit ports.

Regional versions. Juniper part numbers ending in -WW are the worldwide versions sold for use outside the US. Choose the regional version that suits Australia.

EX switches

  • EX2300 and EX3400: access switches for branches and offices
  • EX4100 and EX4400: newer access and aggregation switches with Mist management
  • EX4650 and QFX: aggregation, core and data centre

Subscriptions. Mist access points and switches need a subscription for cloud management, with options for Marvis and location services. We include the right subscriptions in your quote.
