Description

The Juniper QSFP+ 40GBASE-ER4 transceiver delivers 40 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fibre (SMF) for distances of up to 40 km, using a duplex LC connector. It is designed for Juniper routing platforms and suits long-reach data centre interconnect and metro links where standard short-reach optics cannot span the distance.

This standard temperature module operates across a 0 to 70 C range and uses four CWDM wavelengths (1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm) multiplexed over a single duplex fibre pair. It is a hot-pluggable QSFP+ module with digital diagnostics support, allowing optical performance to be monitored in service.
