The Juniper SFPP-XGE-TDM-STM16 is a TSoP smart optic in an SFP+ form factor, built for STM-16/OC-48 (2.488 Gbps) clear-channel TDM transport over single-mode fibre. It reaches up to 2 km over a duplex LC connector and operates across the standard 0 to 70 C temperature range, making it suited to carrier and enterprise sites that need to carry legacy SDH/SONET circuits alongside packet traffic.

This hot-pluggable module supports digital optical monitoring, so link health can be tracked without taking the port out of service. It is listed for use with Juniper MX Series platforms including the MX80, MX104, MX240, MX480 and MX960.
