Description

The Moxa UPort 1150 is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 USB-to-serial converter that adds a software-selectable serial port to any computer without a native one. It is the non-isolated model with a USB Type A connector and a compact plastic housing, a practical choice for laptops, instrumentation and point-of-sale deployments where galvanic isolation is not required.

The Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface is bus-powered, so no external supply is needed, and baudrates up to 921.6 kbps are supported. It ships with a mini DB9F-to-terminal-block adapter for easy wiring, and drivers are provided for Windows, macOS, Linux and WinCE. LEDs show USB and TxD/RxD activity at a glance.

A: No. The UPort 1150 is the non-isolated model with a plastic housing. Moxa's UPort 1150I is the 2 kV isolated variant.
