Description

The UPort 1110 is a compact USB-to-serial converter that adds one RS-232 DB9 male serial port to a laptop or workstation through a USB Type A connection. It suits industrial and IT environments where a computer has no native serial port but still needs to talk to serial devices such as controllers, instruments and network equipment consoles. The 1-port RS-232 interface runs over USB 2.0 at 12 Mbps with baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps.

The converter is bus powered from the USB port, so no external power supply is needed. Drivers are available for Windows, Linux and macOS, plus Android and Arm-based platforms, and virtual machine environments such as VMware and Parallels are supported. The lightweight ABS and polycarbonate housing makes it easy to carry for field service and commissioning work.
