Description

The NPort S9650I-16-2HV-MSC-T is a rugged 16-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with a built-in managed Ethernet switch, designed for power substation and other harsh industrial deployments. It provides 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre ports, takes a high-voltage 88-300 VDC / 85-264 VAC dual power input, and operates from -40 to 85°C in a 19-inch rack-mount metal chassis.

Serial ports support Real COM, RFC2217, TCP Client/Server, UDP, Modbus and DNP3 modes, with 2 kV isolation and 4 kV surge protection on the serial side. Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP and IRIG-B time synchronisation, Turbo Ring and RSTP redundancy, and IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliance make it well suited to utility and critical infrastructure networks.
