Description

The NPort S9650I-8-2HV-E-T is a rugged 8-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with an integrated managed Ethernet switch, built for power substation and harsh industrial environments. This variant pairs 8 DB9 serial ports with a 2-port Ethernet RJ45 module (4 x 10/100BaseT(X)), HV power inputs (100 to 240 VAC / 100 to 250 VDC) and a -40 to 85°C operating range. Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP and IRIG-B support provide precise time synchronisation.

It carries IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 power substation compliance, with 2 kV serial isolation and 4 kV surge protection. Modbus TCP and DNP3 gateway functions, Real COM/TTY drivers and Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP redundancy make it suited to utility, energy and industrial automation networks. The 19-inch metal rackmount housing and dual power inputs support reliable continuous operation.
