Description

The Moxa NPort S9650I-16F-2HV-MSC-T is a 16-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server for power substation and utility networks. It combines a serial device server, a managed Ethernet switch and fibre connectivity in one 19-inch rack-mount unit. The 16 serial ports use multi-mode ST fibre connectors, and a 2-port multi-mode SC fibre Ethernet module provides 100BaseFX uplinks alongside 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports.

Built for harsh environments, this 2HV model accepts dual 110/220 VAC/VDC power inputs with reverse polarity protection, operates from -40 to 85°C, and is compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613. Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP and IRIG-B support precise time synchronisation, while Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP provide network redundancy. Modbus TCP and DNP3 support, plus HTTPS, SSH, RADIUS and TACACS+ security, make it suited to secure SCADA and substation automation deployments.
