Description

The Moxa NPort S9650I-16-2HV-SSC-T is a rugged 16-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with a built-in managed Ethernet switch, designed for rack-mounted deployment in harsh industrial and power substation environments. This variant provides 16 DB9 male serial ports, 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX single-mode SC fibre ports, and runs on the high-voltage (HV) power range of 100-240 VAC or 100-250 VDC across a -40 to 85°C operating temperature range.

Serial ports support Real COM, RFC2217, TCP Client, TCP Server, UDP, Modbus and DNP3 operation, with 2 kV serial isolation and 4 kV surge protection. Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy can be selected by DIP switch, the RJ45 ports support IEEE 1588v2, and dual power inputs with reverse polarity protection help keep connected serial equipment online. The metal 19-inch rackmount housing carries IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 power substation certifications.
