Description

The NPort S9450I-2M-SC-HV-T is a rugged 4-port RS-232/422/485 combo device server with a built-in managed Ethernet switch, designed for electrical substations and other harsh industrial environments. This model provides 3 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre ports, and accepts a high-voltage 88 to 300 VDC / 85 to 264 VAC power input. The -T wide temperature rating supports operation from -40 to 85°C.

Compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for power substation use, the unit offers 2 kV serial isolation, 4 kV serial surge protection and dual redundant power inputs. Protocol gateway support for Modbus and DNP3, Real COM drivers for Windows and Linux, and Ethernet redundancy through Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP make it well suited to connecting legacy serial equipment into resilient IP networks.
