Description

The Moxa NPort S8455I-SS-SC is an industrial 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with a built-in managed Ethernet switch. It combines 3 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports with 2 x 100BaseFX single-mode SC fibre ports reaching up to 40 km, making it well suited to connecting serial equipment over long-distance fibre links in factory, utility and infrastructure networks. Metal housing, DIN-rail mounting and 12 to 48 VDC redundant dual power inputs support reliable deployment across a 0 to 60°C operating range.

Serial ports provide 2 kV isolation and surge protection, while Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP/STP deliver Ethernet redundancy with recovery times under 20 ms. Serial QoS, VLAN, IGMP-snooping, SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and HTTPS/SSH management are supported, along with the full range of NPort 5000 series device server functions.
