Description

The Moxa NPort S8455I-MM-SC-T is an industrial 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with a built-in managed Ethernet switch. It provides 3 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre ports, so serial devices and Ethernet equipment can share a single ruggedised unit. The wide-temperature design operates from -40 to 75C, making it well suited to factory floors, outdoor cabinets and other harsh industrial environments.

This model delivers 15 KV ESD protection and 2 kV isolation on the serial signals, accepts a 12-48 VDC power input, and supports Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy with recovery times under 20 ms, or RSTP/STP. Serial QoS lets you prioritise serial data transmission, while the managed switch functions (VLAN, IGMP snooping/GMRP, LACP, SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and RMON) allow integration into larger industrial networks.
