Description

The Moxa NPort IA5450-TB-G2 is a 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server for connecting serial equipment to Ethernet networks in industrial environments. This terminal block variant uses 5-pin terminal block serial connectors, has a standard operating temperature range of -10 to 60°C and does not include serial isolation. The metal IP30 housing is DIN-rail mounted, and two 10/100 Ethernet ports with Auto MDI/MDI-X provide flexible network connectivity.

Each serial port is software-selectable between RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, with bitrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps and software-configurable RS-485 pull-high/low resistors and 120 ohm terminator. Operation modes include Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Reverse Terminal, RFC2217 and Pair Connection, with secure modes such as Secure Real COM and Reverse SSH supported by Secure Boot and a TRNG root of trust. Drivers are available for Windows, Linux and macOS. The 12 to 48 VDC power input supports dual power inputs with a relay output, suiting oil and gas, power automation and similar harsh-environment applications.
