Description

The NPort IA5250-TB-G2 is a 2-port industrial serial device server that connects RS-232/422/485 serial devices such as PLCs, meters and sensors to an Ethernet network. Each serial port is software-selectable and uses a 5-pin terminal block connector. This non-isolated model is rated for -10 to 60°C operation and is housed in a rugged IP30 metal case for DIN-rail mounting.

Two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports allow cascading for simpler wiring, or can be configured with the same IP or dual IP addresses for network redundancy. Operation modes include Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Reverse Terminal and RFC2217, with secure modes available using encryption. Surge protection is built in on the serial, Ethernet and power lines, and a relay output supports email alerts for network down, power failure or DCD/DSR signal changes.
