Description

The NPort IA5250-G2 is an industrial 2-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server for connecting legacy serial equipment to Ethernet networks. This variant provides two software-selectable serial ports on DB9 male connectors, two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports, and a standard -10 to 60°C operating range in a non-isolated design. Its metal IP30 housing is DIN-rail mountable for control cabinets and factory floor installations.

Secure operation modes including Secure Real COM, Secure TCP Server, Secure TCP Client and Reverse SSH protect serial traffic, while Secure Boot and a TRNG root of trust harden the device itself. Windows Real COM, Linux Real TTY and macOS fixed TTY drivers support integration with existing software, and an 8-pin terminal block accepts 12 to 48 VDC with a relay output for alerts.
