Description

The Moxa NPort IA5150-M-SC-G2 is a second-generation industrial DIN-rail serial device server that connects one RS-232/422/485 serial device to an Ethernet network. It provides one 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port and one 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre port, giving flexibility for copper or fibre deployments over distances of up to 4 km on OM1 fibre. The standard-temperature design operates from -10 to 60°C in an IP30 metal housing.

The serial port is software-selectable and supports baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, with ADDC for RS-485 and configurable pull-up, pull-down and terminator resistors. Standard and secure operation modes, including Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, Reverse Terminal, Secure Real COM and Reverse SSH, suit industrial automation, SCADA and machine connectivity projects. Secure boot and a TRNG-based root of trust help protect the device in connected environments.
