Description

The NPort IA5000 1-port serial device server with single-mode fibre SC connectivity connects RS-232/422/485 serial devices to an Ethernet network over long-distance, noise-immune fibre. It provides 2 kV serial isolation and an extended -40 to 75°C operating range, making it suited to harsh industrial sites, substations and factory floors where electrical noise and temperature extremes are a concern.

The unit adds two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports with Ethernet cascade for daisy-chaining nearby devices, plus dual redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs and a relay output for fault signalling. RS-485 automatic data direction control simplifies wiring, and the IP30 plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail.
