Description

The Moxa NPort IA-5150-T is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects legacy serial equipment to Ethernet networks. This variant has two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports that can be cascaded on a single IP address, a wide -40 to 75°C operating temperature range, no serial isolation, and ATEX and Class I Division 2 hazardous location certification.

Designed for industrial automation, it supports TCP server, TCP client and UDP socket modes, with Windows and Linux Real COM/TTY drivers for existing serial-based software. Redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, an IP30 plastic housing and DIN-rail mounting make it suitable for control cabinets and harsh environments.

Q: Does the NPort IA-5150-T provide serial isolation?
A: No. This model has no serial isolation. The 2 kV serial isolation applies only to the IA-5150I models. The Ethernet ports have built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation.
