Description

The NPort IA-5150-M-SC is an industrial serial device server from the NPort IA5000 range, connecting one RS-232/422/485 serial port to Ethernet over a 100BaseFX multi-mode SC fibre link. It suits factory floors, utilities and other electrically noisy sites where fibre provides immunity to interference and longer cable runs between a serial device and the network. This variant operates from 0 to 55°C and has no serial isolation.

A second 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port supports Ethernet cascading so neighbouring devices can be daisy-chained without an additional switch. Power input accepts 12 to 48 VDC, and the IP30 plastic housing carries ATEX and Class I Division 2 hazardous location approvals. Real TTY drivers for Linux and Android API support simplify integration with existing host software.
