Description

The Moxa NPort 6650-8-48V is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 secure terminal server that connects serial devices to an Ethernet network. This 48 VDC input variant (+20 to +72 VDC, -20 to -72 VDC) suits telecom and industrial racks with DC power, and operates across a 0 to 55°C range. Eight serial ports on RJ45 connectors and a 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port make it a straightforward way to bring legacy serial equipment onto an IP network.

Secure operation modes cover Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, Pair Connection, Terminal and Reverse Terminal, so the unit can serve both device access and terminal access applications. Management is supported over SNMPv1/v2c/v3, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH and Telnet with IPv4 and IPv6, and an LCD panel simplifies initial IP address configuration. The rack-mountable chassis, port buffers and watchdog reboot support dependable long-term deployment.
