Description

The Moxa NPort 6610-8 is an 8-port RS-232 secure terminal server that connects serial devices to an Ethernet network. This rack-mount model runs from 100-240 VAC mains power and supports secure operation modes including SSH, Secure Real COM and Secure TCP, making it well suited to industrial, utility and data centre environments where serial equipment must be managed over IP.

Each RJ45 serial port supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, including non-standard rates, with full modem control signals and flexible flow control. Port buffers hold serial data if the Ethernet link drops, and an optional Ethernet network module adds expansion and redundancy. The NPort 6610-8 belongs to the NPort 6400/6600 Series and is managed via web console, Telnet/SSH, serial console or SNMP.

Features

- Secure modes: Reverse SSH, Secure Pair Connection, Secure Real COM, Secure TCP Client, Secure TCP Server and SSH
- Port buffers store serial data when Ethernet is offline
- Non-standard baudrates supported with high precision
- IPv6 support
- Modular design for network expansion with optional Ethernet network module
- Ethernet redundancy (STP/RSTP/Turbo Ring) with network module
- Standard operation modes: Real COM, TCP Server/Client, UDP, Terminal, Reverse Telnet, RFC2217, PPP, Printer, Pair Connection, Ethernet Modem
- Management via web console (HTTP/HTTPS), Telnet/SSH, serial console, Device Search Utility, MCC Tool and SNMPv1/v2c/v3
