Description

The NPort 6610-16-48V is a 16-port RS-232 secure serial device server that connects serial equipment to an Ethernet network. This ±48 VDC input model suits telecom and industrial racks where DC power is standard, with 16 8-pin RJ45 serial ports and a 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port. Secure access is supported through TLS and SSH, and baud rates run from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps.

Serial devices can be reached by Real COM, TTY and other drivers on Windows, Linux and Unix systems. A console port handles local configuration, and the unit supports IPv4/IPv6 and SNMPv1/v2c/v3 for network management. A relay alarm contact output and 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation on the Ethernet port round out the rackmount design.
