Description

The NPort 6150-G2 is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 secure serial device server that connects a single serial device to an Ethernet network. This standard temperature model runs on 12 to 48 VDC and offers secure operation modes including Secure Real COM, Secure TCP Server and Client, Secure Pair Connection, SSH and Reverse SSH. It follows IEC 62443-4-2 design guidelines, making it well suited to industrial automation, building management and remote equipment access where serial data must travel securely over IP.

A DB9 male serial port supports baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps, while the 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port provides the network connection with 1.5 kV built-in magnetic isolation. Secure Boot, HTTPS (TLS 1.2/1.3), SNMPv3 and SSHv2 protect the device, and configuration is available through a web console, Windows utility, Device Search Utility, MCC Tool or serial console. The metal housing suits desktop use, with DIN-rail, wall and side-panel mounting available with optional kits.
