Description

The Moxa NPort 5650I-8-DT is a compact desktop 8-port serial device server that connects RS-232/422/485 serial devices to a 10/100M Ethernet network. Eight DB9 male serial ports each support software-selectable RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 operation, with 2 kV isolation on the serial ports to protect equipment in electrically noisy environments. It operates across a 0 to 55 C temperature range and is configured through the LCD panel, Telnet, a web browser or the Windows utility.

Two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports provide a built-in switch function for cascade wiring, while dual power inputs (a terminal block and a power jack) accept 12 to 48 VDC. Socket modes include TCP server, TCP client, UDP and Real COM, with driver support for Windows, Linux, Unix variants and Android. SNMP MIB-II support allows management from existing network monitoring tools. DIN-rail and wall mounting are available with optional kits.
