Description

The NPort 5650-8-S-SC is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 rackmount serial device server that makes serial devices network-ready over Ethernet. It connects to the LAN via a 100BaseFX single-mode fibre port with an SC connector, in addition to a 10/100 RJ45 port, making it well suited to long-distance links or electrically noisy environments. This variant takes 100 to 240 VAC input.

Supporting Real COM, TCP Server/Client, UDP, Reverse Telnet and RFC2217 operation modes, it integrates serial equipment into existing IP networks with Real COM/TTY drivers for Windows, Linux and macOS. A metal 19-inch rackmount housing with an LCD panel and push buttons allows on-device configuration, and HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3 provide secure management.
