Description

The Moxa NPort 5650-8-DT-J is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects serial devices to a 10/100M Ethernet network. It uses 8-pin RJ45 serial connectors, supports a 12 to 48 VDC power input and operates from 0 to 55 C, with no serial isolation on this model. It suits control rooms, building automation and data collection sites that need to bring legacy serial equipment onto an IP network.

A compact metal housing supports desktop, DIN-rail or wall mounting using optional kits. Dual 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, an LCD panel for quick IP setup, and configuration by Telnet, web console or Windows utility simplify deployment. Socket modes include TCP server, TCP client, UDP and Real COM, with Real COM/TTY drivers for Windows, Linux and Unix systems.

Q: Which serial standards does the NPort 5650-8-DT-J support?
A: Each of the 8 serial ports can be set to RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 and uses an 8-pin RJ45 connector.
