Description

The NPort 5650-8 is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 rackmount serial device server that connects serial devices to a 10/100 Ethernet network. It provides eight 8-pin RJ45 serial ports and a single RJ45 Ethernet port in a metal 19-inch housing, and runs from a universal 100 to 240 VAC input with an operating range of 0 to 60 C. An LCD panel and push buttons make IP address setup quick without a PC.

Serial ports support baud rates up to 921.6 kbps, with Real COM/TTY drivers for Windows and Linux, fixed TTY drivers for macOS, and socket modes including TCP server, TCP client and UDP. Configuration is available through Telnet, a web browser or a Windows utility, and management support includes SNMP MIB-II, with HTTPS and SNMPv3 for secure access.
