Description

The NPort 5650-16-S-SC is a 16-port RS-232/422/485 rackmount serial device server that connects serial devices to an IP-based Ethernet LAN. It pairs a 100BaseFX single-mode fibre (SC connector) network interface, with a typical reach of 40 km, with a 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 port, making it well suited to long-distance links in plants, campuses and remote sites.

A 19-inch metal housing with an LCD panel and push buttons allows on-device configuration, and the unit runs from 100 to 240 VAC. It supports Real COM, TCP Server/Client, UDP, Reverse Telnet and RFC2217 operation modes, with drivers for Windows, Linux and macOS, and security support including HTTPS (TLS 1.2) and SNMPv3.
