Description

The NPort 5250AI-M12-T is a 2-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects legacy serial equipment to Ethernet networks. Part of the NPort 5000AI-M12 range, it is built for rugged and railway deployments with M12 connectors for both Ethernet and power, a 12 to 48 VDC input and a wide -40 to 75°C operating temperature range. This model has no PCB conformal coating.

Each DB9 serial port supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 with 2 kV serial isolation, while the IP40 metal housing and compliance with EN 50155 on 24/48 VDC suit rolling stock and trackside applications. Real COM and TTY drivers for Windows and Linux, plus HTTPS and SNMPv3 security options, let it slot into existing SCADA, monitoring and control environments.
