Description

The Moxa NPort 5250A-T is a 2-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects serial equipment to an Ethernet network. This -T wide-temperature model is rated for operation from -40 to 75°C, making it suited to industrial automation, cabinet and outdoor enclosure deployments where standard devices would not survive.

Each DB9 male serial port supports baud rates up to 921.6 kbps, and the unit offers Real COM, Reverse Telnet, RFC2217, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP and Pair Connection operation modes. Dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation, a metal housing and a watchdog timer help keep legacy serial devices online. Windows Real COM, Linux Real TTY and fixed TTY drivers are supported, and the unit can be mounted on a desktop, wall or DIN rail with the optional kit.
