Description

The NPort 5232 is a compact 2-port RS-422/485 serial device server that connects industrial serial equipment to a 10/100M Ethernet network. This non-isolated model uses terminal block serial connectors and a standard 0 to 55°C operating range, making it a practical fit for control cabinets, building automation and machine connectivity projects in controlled environments.

Each serial port supports baudrates from 110 bps to 230.4 kbps and automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485. It offers Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Pair Connection and Reverse Telnet operation modes, with a built-in watchdog timer and 1.5 kV magnetic isolation on the Ethernet port. The metal housing can be mounted on a desktop, wall or DIN-rail with an optional kit.
