Description

The Moxa NPort 5150AI-M12-CT is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects a serial device to an Ethernet network. It uses M12 connectors for both Ethernet and power, accepts a 12 to 48 VDC input, and operates from -25 to 55°C. The CT model adds PCB conformal coating, and the unit meets EN 50121-4 and the mandatory EN 50155 test items, making it suited to railway and other vibration-prone installations.

The IP40 metal housing and 2 kV serial isolation protect connected equipment, while the DB9 male serial port supports baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps. Real COM and Real TTY drivers are available for Windows and Linux, and configuration is handled through a web console, Telnet console or Windows utility. SNMP monitoring with trap or email alerts, a built-in watchdog timer and a built-in buzzer and RTC support reliable remote operation.
