Description

The NPort 5150A is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects a serial device to an Ethernet network. Rated for 0 to 60°C standard-temperature operation, it suits indoor control cabinets, plant rooms and equipment racks where legacy serial equipment such as PLCs, meters, sensors and card readers needs network access.

The NPort 5150A supports operation modes including Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Reverse Telnet and RFC2217, with baudrates up to 230.4 kbps. A built-in watchdog timer, automatic data direction control for RS-485 and a metal housing support dependable day-to-day operation, and it accepts a wide 12 to 48 VDC power input. It can be installed on a desktop, on a wall, or on a DIN rail with the optional kit.
