Description

The NPort 5110A is a compact 1-port RS-232 serial device server that connects a serial device to a 10/100M Ethernet network. It is the standard temperature model, rated for 0 to 60°C, and provides a DB9 male serial connector with baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps. Built on Moxa's MiiNe Arm-based serial-to-Ethernet SoC, it uses at least 50% less power than the previous generation, drawing under 1 W.

The NPort 5110A supports a wide range of operation modes, including Real COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Pair Connection, Reverse Telnet, RFC2217 and Ethernet Modem. It runs from a 12 to 48 VDC input via a power input jack and includes a built-in watchdog timer that triggers an automatic reboot, making it well suited to connecting legacy serial equipment to IP networks.
