Description

The NM-FX01-S-SC is an NM Series 100BaseFX fibre expansion module that adds one single-mode SC fibre port to compatible Moxa NPort 6450 and 6650 terminal servers. It suits long-distance, EMI-immune fibre uplinks, with a typical reach of up to 40 km on G.652 single-mode fibre at 1310 nm. This is the standard temperature variant.

The module installs in the NM expansion slot of NPort 6000 Series units and complies with IEEE 802.3u 100BaseFX for interoperability with standard fibre Ethernet equipment. It offers a 29 dB link budget and extends the RJ45 and fibre Ethernet options available on compatible NPort units. When connecting a single-mode fibre transceiver, an attenuator is recommended to prevent damage from excessive optical power.
