Description

The Moxa DE-311 is a 1-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects serial devices to a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network. Part of the NPort Express Series, it suits entry-level industrial connectivity, with a software-selectable 3-in-1 DB9 female serial port, a metal housing and a 9 to 30 VDC power input.

Operating modes include TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Ethernet Modem and Pair Connection, with Real COM/TTY drivers for Windows and Linux. It is well suited to linking information display boards, PLCs, flow and gas meters, CNC machines and biometric ID card readers to an IP network, and it can be configured through a Windows utility, Telnet console or serial console.
