Description

The CP-118EL-A w/o Cable is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 low-profile PCI Express x1 serial board for POS, ATM and industrial automation systems. Each port can be set independently to RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 (2-wire or 4-wire), with baudrates up to 921.6 kbps and a 128-byte FIFO for fast, reliable data transmission. This variant ships without a connector cable, so you can pair it with the cable or connection box that suits your installation.

The low-profile form factor fits small-sized PCs, and the board uses a VHDCI 68 connector with full modem control signals. Up to 8 boards can be installed in one PC, and drivers are provided for Windows, Linux and UNIX, with WEPOS also supported for embedded integration. Built-in LEDs and management software simplify day-to-day maintenance.
