Description

The QFX5140-FANAI is a hot-swappable fan module for the QFX5140-24CD8O data centre switch, built for back-to-front (airflow in, AFI) cooling. It keeps the 1RU chassis within operating temperature and is supplied as a field-replaceable unit (FRU), so a failed fan tray can be replaced without taking the switch out of the rack.

The fan tray forms part of the N+1 redundant cooling design of the QFX5140 chassis. It must be matched to an AFI airflow chassis and AFI power supplies (QFX5140-24CD8O-AI) so that airflow direction is consistent across the system.
