Description

The Aruba J9996A is a 2-port 40GbE QSFP+ v3 zl2 switch module for the Aruba 5400R zl2 modular switch chassis. It adds high-speed 40G uplink or aggregation connectivity to a 5400R zl2 core or distribution deployment, with two QSFP+ ports per module.

Built on the v3 zl2 module architecture with a dual ARM Cortex A9 processor and 13.5 MB internal packet buffer, it delivers 40 Gbps latency under 1.5 µs and supports a hot-swappable modular design. QSFP+ transceivers or DAC cables are ordered separately and support between 0 and 2 modules per card.
