Description

The Moxa MGate-MB3270-IEX is a 2-port advanced Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, linking serial field devices to Ethernet networks in industrial automation. This IECEx certified variant operates from 0 to 60°C and features two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports, making it suited to hazardous-location installations where reliable serial-to-Ethernet integration is required.

The gateway connects up to 32 Modbus TCP servers and up to 62 Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves, and can be accessed by up to 32 Modbus TCP clients. Dual 10/100 Ethernet ports with built-in cascading and 1.5 kV magnetic isolation, redundant DC power inputs and a DIN-rail mountable IP30 housing support dependable deployment in control cabinets.
