Description

The Moxa MGate MB3170-S-SC-T is a 1-port Modbus TCP gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus serial (RTU/ASCII), connecting serial devices to Ethernet networks over a 100BaseFX single-mode fibre link with an SC connector. This variant has no serial isolation and is rated for an extended -40 to 75°C operating temperature, suited to harsh industrial environments and long-distance fibre runs.

The single serial port is software selectable between RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, with a DB9 male connector for RS-232 and a terminal block for RS-422/485. Redundant dual DC power inputs (12 to 48 VDC), built-in Ethernet cascading and embedded Modbus traffic monitoring simplify installation and troubleshooting in SCADA and automation deployments.
